Petition to Save Our Police Team

FAO the Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner,

I am writing to express my concern about the reduction of our Norwich South Neighbourhood Policing team from 11 to 7 officers. We understand that there would be some impact on Town Close. We have already lost an officer with 7 years’ experience and now face losing another officer with 11 years’ experience.

We value having a stable neighbourhood policing team and have seen the positive impact that it has made. We cannot afford to lose a total of 18 years of knowledge, experience and understanding of our community or the relationships that have built trust over several years.

A reduced, smaller, team needs a good skill mix, and it is essential that the most experienced neighbourhood officer is retained to mitigate the loss of numbers.

We urge you to reconsider the decision, and retain PC Terry Chambers in our neighbourhood team.
